Coordinator of the Ph.D. in biochemical and biomolecular sciences from 1983 to 1997. Director of the Institute of Biochemical and Pharmacological Sciences from 1986 to 1997. Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Biochemistry (SIB) from 1997 to 2000. Honorary member of the SIB since 2004. HonoraryPresident of the Section I.N.B.B. University of Catania since 2005. In 1990, Leader of a National Research Project on "Biolectronics". Experience in the research field regarding the relationship between structure and function of some enzyme molecules: monoamineoxidases, superoxide dismutases, polyphenol oxidases (laccases).
